I’m Cassandra (she/her). I was born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas in Mexico and raised by two strong human beings who immigrated from Reynosa to provide an amazing life for me, my brother, and my sister. I currently live in South Texas with my pretty cat Memow.

As a growing developer, designer, researcher, and chef, I look forward to making the world a better place, one fixed bug, one design, or one dish at a time.

I'm a senior at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley double majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics. Throughout my time in college, I've developed a strong interest in data science and machine learning. I also really enjoy user interface and user experience design. With the help of all the amazing people I've been able to work with during classes, research, internships, and fellowship programs, I have gotten much closer to achieving my goals.
